Conflict checks on the first ring and recording consent by state
LawMOR warns you before you pick up when a caller is a party on another matter, and keeps proof of the recording rule it applied.
Watch the softphone while it rings
When a call comes in, the softphone looks the number and caller id name up against every contact and party in your firm. If the caller is, for example, the adverse party on another matter, a yellow Possible conflict note appears before you answer. Do not discuss the matter until a full conflict check clears.
Check Triage for unknown callers
Calls and texts from numbers LawMOR does not know go to Triage. Each one now carries a Conflict check on the first ring card when the caller id name or number matches a party you already know, with the matter and their role.
New leads are pre-checked too
Leads created by the AI receptionist, a booking page or by hand are searched on arrival (name, other parties, phone). The pre-check is a warning; the recorded conflict check still runs when you promote the lead to a matter.
Choose a recording policy
Under Settings > Phone and texting > Recording consent by state, pick Announce and record every call (recommended) or Do not record callers in all-party states. LawMOR works out the caller's state from their area code, tells the phone system before it records, and keeps the rule it applied on every call record.
