Connect other tools with the API and webhooks
Give Zapier, Make, n8n or your own script an API key, and have LawMOR notify them when a matter, payment or other event happens.
Open API and webhooks
Go to Settings, then API and webhooks under Records. Only firm owners see this page. Everything a connected tool does is recorded in the audit log as the member its key acts as.
Create an API key
Select Create key. Give it a name (the tool it is for), choose Read only or Read and write, and choose the owner or attorney it acts as: the key can see and do what that person can. LawMOR asks for your second factor, then shows the key once. Copy it into the other tool or your password manager straight away; it is never shown again. If you lose it, select Revoke and create a new one.
Call the API
Send the header Authorization: Bearer lm_live_… with every request to /api/v1. The How to connect card on the page shows the base URL and links to the interactive API reference, where you can try each endpoint. Read-only keys are refused on anything that changes data. Keys are limited to 600 requests a minute and can never do the actions that ask for a second factor, such as trust transfers or exports.
Add a webhook endpoint
Select Add endpoint and paste the https URL your tool gives you (for example a Zapier Catch Hook, a Make or n8n webhook URL). Tick the events you want, such as matter.created, payment.recorded or sms.received. LawMOR shows a signing secret once; store it with the tool if you want to check that messages are genuine.
Test and watch deliveries
Select Test to send a ping event now and see the response code. Deliveries lists the last 50 messages with their status; select Redeliver to send one again. A delivery that gets no 2xx reply is retried after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 12 hours, then marked dead. If an endpoint fails 20 times in a row it is switched off and the owners are emailed; fix the receiving side and select Activate.
