Find revenue leaks, losing flat fees and silent clients

The three reports only LawMOR can run, because it captured the calls: Revenue leaks, Flat fees and Client contact.

  1. Open Reports and pick a tab

Owners and attorneys select Reports in the left menu. Billing is the classic view. Revenue leaks, Flat fees and Client contact are the new tabs.

  2. Read Revenue leaks

Every client call, text conversation and email filed to a matter in the period is counted, then sorted by what happened to its time: approved or billed, still waiting as a draft, or never billed. Estimated leak values unbilled calls at the call length rounded by your policy and the timekeeper's rate. Texts and emails count but carry no value because they have no length.

  3. Read Flat fees

Each flat or hybrid matter shows the agreed fee, the hours recorded in the period and what that time is worth at your rates. Matters that have consumed more than the fee are marked as losing money and listed first. The practice area chart shows where fixed fees work and where they do not.

  4. Read Client contact

Each open matter shows the days since the client last heard from the firm by any channel, and whether the client wrote or called since. Matters past the threshold (14 days unless you change the box at the top) are highlighted.

  5. Send an update without writing it

Select Send update on a row. LawMOR drafts a short client update from the last 30 days of notes, tasks, upcoming dates and call summaries. Read it, change anything, choose Text, Portal message or Email, and select Send update. The text also becomes the matter's client status and a note on the matter.
