Let clients help themselves by text
Clients text BALANCE, PAY, UPLOAD, STATUS or CONFIRM to your number and get the answer back without anyone at the firm lifting a finger.
Turn it on
Under Settings > Phone and texting > Text-first client service, keep Answer client keywords by text switched on. Replies only go to clients whose number agreed to texts.
What clients can do
BALANCE returns their open balance. PAY texts a secure payment link for the oldest open invoice (needs card payments set up). UPLOAD sends a 15-minute link to upload documents. STATUS repeats the latest client status note on their matter. CONFIRM confirms their next appointment.
Appointment reminders
The day before each meeting, hearing or consultation on a matter, the client gets a reminder text asking them to reply CONFIRM. Confirmed events show it on the calendar.
Nothing becomes billable
Keyword replies and reminders are automated messages. They never create time entries or triage items, and each one is logged in the audit trail.
